New: torQtool health and safety in torsion spring tensioning
22-06-2021Every overhead door installer or service engineer acknowledges it: tensioning torsion springs is a tough and labour-intensive job. Straining of shoulders, elbows and wrists is no exception in these cases. At IDD-Parts we felt we had to find a solid and innovative solution for this. In recent months we have been working to develop the new torQtool for you.
And with results! With this new torQtool you can now tension your torsion springs in a safe and healthy way. First of all, install the tool on the tension plug of the spring. After that it is your drill that takes over and tensions the spring. The torQtool is suitable for springs with diameters of 95mm, 142mm and 152mm and for almost all types of shafts. The torQtool has been tested by vph human performance in the Netherlands and has been awarded the certificate of conformity for working conditions and ergonomics. The torQtool has thus been confirmed as a healthier and safer alternative for tensioning torsion springs.
